Celebrate Social Work Month

Be sure to celebrate in March the role social workers play in our society, especially for the older adult and their families. Social workers provide great help to the family caregiver in supporting the many needs of a growing aging population. Making life better for the caregiver through programs like respite care and adult day care to programs aimed at making the older adult independent for as long as possible are important roles for social workers.
As the National Association of Social Workers website states: “A social worker’s success is often defined by the opportunities people enjoy thanks to their intervention.”
